First, the nonstandard
Tong is a person who didn’t seek leadership at a young age but then became a leader of something important at a young age. This led to some fast learnings in dynamic situations. Tong screwed up a lot… but always tried to learn and grow from each perceived failure.
Since then, she’s managed, mentored, and coached hundreds of people from students to early career professionals to executives. She’s worked with her own organizations and partners to develop plans for growth, sustainability, operational sustainability, and centering an inclusive culture. Tong prides herself on being a closet organizer of work, life, and business operations.
