Who has a Plan?
I do!
I have a plan for my week, my life, and my work. The kids have a plan for their activities, my vacations have an itinerary, and every event has an agenda.
Now these plans are often waylaid, they change all the time, the details are widely different in specificity, and I’m always iterating based on new information.
Working towards liberation
The work of the peach tree collaborative is focused on liberation. For us that means focusing leaders and organizations on the practices that challenge systems of oppression, root out white supremacy culture, and support self-determination in all individuals.
Grit Culture - lets not do it
I used to believe in grit culture. In fact I still remember a fortune from a cookie that said “if you’re not getting your desired result, work harder.” I saved it to because I thought it was funny, but I also believed in it.
Removing your tree
A tree fell on my house after Hurricane Irene in 2011. As a first time home owner there was something about this incident that completely broke me. I had no idea how to tackle it, I had no idea how to remove it. This tree was figuratively and literally gigantic.
