Who has a Plan?
I do!
I have a plan for my week, my life, and my work. The kids have a plan for their activities, my vacations have an itinerary, and every event has an agenda.
Now these plans are often waylaid, they change all the time, the details are widely different in specificity, and I’m always iterating based on new information. I am always reminded that…
The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry
So why bother having a plan?
For me, plans are not a set of steps that have to be followed in order, plans are an intention and a commitment towards action.
A business plan, a strategic plan, an operational plan, an action plan, done in the wrong way, they’re all long documents that nobody reads. Done in the right way they are useful guides to convey our intentions about our companies and organizations.
So, what is your intention? And how can I help to make a plan that works for you?
